Swing Shift represents a piece of history.
Swing Shift has been active on the Indianapolis
scene for the last 25 years. Its name in past years
was "Sentimental Journey" and "Moonlighters".
The Music Director is Chris Drabyn, Director of
Jazz Studies at Avon HS. Mr. Drabyn is a well
known musician and educator who is very active in
the Indianapolis area.

We serve many masters. One of our primary
areas of outreach is to local nursing homes to
bring their residents memories reminscent of
their younger days. We also provide support for
donor-supported organizations with benefit
dances and concerts. If you are interested in
having Swing Shift play for your wedding, we have
a complete playlist for the newlyweds.

Swing Shift support for donor organizations
The band plays for the Athenaeum on a year-
around basis to support their fund raising
activities. We rehearse in one of their event
rooms twice per month. If you would like to hear
us, just email or call the band's manager and we
can arrange an audience. If you would like to
hear a particular tune, just let us know. We look
forward to your visit.
