Swing Shift (aka Indy All Stars Big Band)
represents a piece of history.
Swing Shift has been active on the Indianapolis
scene for the last 30 years. The Music Director
is Chris Drabyn, Director of Jazz Studies at Avon
HS. Mr. Drabyn is a well known musician and
educator who is very active in the Indianapolis
area. The band also performs as "Indy All Stars
Big Band" in ballroom dance settings.

Our Mission: To serve the local area with music
to entertain our audiences. One of our primary
areas of outreach is to local not-for-profit
organizations to assist them in their fund raising
efforts. We also provide a full repertoire of
dance tunes for ballroom dance performances.

community performances, weddings, dances of
any type, and private gatherings.

tangos, rhumbas, cha-chas, swing, and quick-
step songs. Our ballroom dance format
typically includes 8 song groupings to vary the
dance style with a maximum of 2 foxtrots/set.
