Swing Shift represents a piece of history.
Swing Shift has been active on the Indianapolis
scene for the last 10 years. Its name in past years
was "Sentimental Journey" and "Moonlighters".
The Music Director is Jim Edison, a well known
trumpet player and teacher in this area. Jim has
played with the Glenn Miller Band, the Dorsey
Brothers, Liberace, Della Reese, Henry Mancini,
and many other famous entertainment figures. He
was also Music Director for Starlight Theatre in
past years.

Our Mission: To serve the local area with love
We serve many masters. One of our primary
areas of outreach is to local nursing homes to
bring their residents memories reminiscent of
their younger days. We also have a complete
wedding repertroire and provide support for
donor-supported organizations with benefit
dances and concerts. If you are interested in

The band plays for the Athenaeum on a year-
around basis to support their fund raising
activities. We rehearse in one of their event
rooms twice per month. If you would like to hear
us, just email or call the band's manager and we
can arrange an audience. If you would like to
hear a particular tune, just let us know. We look
forward to your visit.
